Sammie Paul is the Executive Director of FoodRecovery.org, a nonprofit that connects businesses with surplus food to organizations serving communities in need. She has worked with the organization for more than nine years, starting as an Outreach Volunteer and taking on various roles as she grew with the organization. Under her leadership, FoodRecovery.org expanded its reach and impact, partnering with thousands of businesses and community partners across the United States, recovering more than 1,500,000 pounds of surplus food each and every week.


FoodRecovery.org connects organizations with surplus food to communities in need, championing sustainability by diverting edible food away from landfills. In 2024, we recovered more than 85 million pounds of food across the country.
