Eva Rigamonti

Eva Rigamonti is the Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Pilot Travel Centers LLC, a fuel retailer and convenience store chain based in Knoxville, TN. Pilot, a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, is the largest travel center operator in North America, with approximately 900 locations and over 30,000 team members.

Eva leads Pilot’s legal team, supporting Pilot’s energy and retail business divisions. Her leadership covers various functions, including, but not limited to, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, government affairs, mergers and acquisitions, litigation, legal operations, contract management, intellectual property, privacy, and artificial intelligence. Eva and her team help Pilot navigate the evolving legal and regulatory landscape, fostering relationships that drive the company’s business and the industry forward.

Eva started her career at Pilot as Vice President of Government and Legal Affairs, where she led Pilot’s political engagement and legislative and regulatory strategy at the federal and state levels on a range of policy issues, including energy, fuels, and sustainability; transportation and infrastructure; labor; privacy and data security; payments; agriculture and food safety; and tax.

Prior to joining Pilot, Eva was Associate General Counsel and Executive Director of Public Policy for RaceTrac, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia, and an associate in the Government Affairs and Public Policy practice at Steptoe LLP in Washington, D.C. While at Steptoe, Eva advised clients on legislative, regulatory, and political issues, as well as legal concerns. Her primary clients included trade associations representing the motor fuel wholesale and retail industries, including the National Association of Convenience Stores and the Society of Independent Gasoline Marketers of America.

Outside of Pilot, Eva is a board member of Shaping Her Earth (SHE), an organization that supports and provides resources for young women of color; and a board member of Har Shalom Congregation, where she is co-chair of their Accessibility and Inclusion Committee.

Eva is a graduate of Yale Law School (J.D.) and Cornell University (B.A.). She also has a degree from Pace University (M.S.T.), which she earned while teaching 6th and 7th grade special education as a Teach for America corps member. Eva currently lives with her family in the suburbs outside of Washington, D.C.
