Since 1994 Lance has seen almost everything there is to see in the Petroleum/Convenience store industry. Whether being employed as a sales representative for a C-store food distributor, a Marketing Director for 170 C-stores, a manufacturer’s representative. In his nineteenth year as Executive Director of the Minnesota Service Station & Convenience store Association (MSSA), MSSA Energy Resources and Minnoco, Lance has served on the NACS Legislative Committee while tackling tough legislative agendas back home in St. Paul while serving on Governor Walz’s council on Biofuels.
The MSSA was founded in 1966 building a foundation supporting independent auto repair facilities, towing operations and fueling sites through legislative, legal and marketing opportunities.
Most currently, the (MSSA) has marketed a new brand of fuel “MINNOCO” (Minnesota Independent Oil Company) a concept allowing independent dealers in the Association to control an exclusive brand including many grades of gasoline and biofuels.
Through the years, Lance has enjoyed coaching his son Sam in Football, Baseball and Basketball for several years. Enjoys spending time with family and traveling. Lance and wife Stacy, married 25 years, reside in Rosemount, MN with their two children, Sam (19 yrs.) student at Iowa State University and Abby (16 yrs.) a Junior at Rosemount High School.
