Recently, John appeared in “Vacation Friends 2”—the first of which became the #1 Hulu Original Film in the streamer’s history. John also had a cameo role in the hugely successful film, “Barbie,” as well as appeared in “Fast X,” “F9: The Fast Saga” and “Hidden Strike.” Prior to this, he starred as the title character in the HBO Max series “Peacemaker”—a spinoff of his character in the hit movie “The Suicide Squad.” Other notable credits for John include “Trainwreck,” “Blockers,” “Sisters,” “Daddy’s Home” and its sequel, the “Transformers” spinoff, “Bumblebee,” “Playing with Fire” and “Ferdinand.”

John’s upcoming credits include the live-action film “Coyote v. Acme,” the spy thriller, “Argylle,” “Ricky Stanicky,” “Jackpot” and “Heads of State.” 

John has hosted numerous shows, including “Saturday Night Live,” “The ESPYS,” “The Today Show,” the Nickelodeon “Kids Choice Awards,” “Wipeout,” “American Grit” and “Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader?”

John has been the face of the WWE for more than two decades and has been dubbed “The Babe Ruth of the WWE” by Vince McMahon. Serving as cover star for both WWE 2K15 and 2K23, John is the only person to be featured as a WWE 2K cover star twice.

In 2021, John published two books: “Do Your Best Every Day to Do Your Best Every Day,” a collection of inspirational quotes geared toward children, and “Be a Work in Progress,” a collection for adults. John is also the #1 New York Times best-selling author of the “Elbow Grease” picture books, a series inspired by the lessons he learned about hard work, perseverance and teamwork from growing up with four brothers.

John devotes much of his time and energy working on behalf of numerous charitable causes. He is the only celebrity to grant nearly 700 wishes with Make-A-Wish. He is also the recipient of Sports Illustrated’s 2018 Muhammad Ali Legacy Award and USO Metro’s 2016 Legacy of Achievement Award. John also starred in Ad Council’s Love Has No Labels campaign ‘We Are America’ to further the message of acceptance and love for all communities across the United States.
