I have 43 years’ experience in marketing and operations for Convenience Stores and Restaurants. From 1972 to 2015; I have owned and operated 2 Deli’s in West Palm Beach Florida. I have worked for 5 Convenience store companies in multiple operations and marketing roles; 7-Eleven, National Convenience Stores, Crown Central Petroleum, Mapco, and Rutter’s. I worked for Marriott in their Host division where, as director of F&B, operated several different restaurants and bars as well as QSR brands; Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC, Mrs. Fields Cookies, TCBY, & Nathan’s. I have completed the R&D of 5 different proprietary food service programs for 4 different Convenience store companies as well as my own Deli’s, including; concept development, menu development, layout, opening and operating.
Since retiring from Rutter’s in 2015 as their VP of food service I have been president of Jerry Weiner Consulting, working with retailers and manufacturers to advance quality food service programs in the Convenience Store Industry. In that role I have done the complete R&D of 2 additional prototype food service programs from concept to opening.
I was in the USAF from 1966 – 1970 working on Minuteman Missiles, and honorably discharged attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.
I have been married to my wife Bonnie for 51 years and have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
