Eva Rigamonti is an associate in the Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) practice at Steptoe & Johnson LLP, located in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Rigamonti advises clients including the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) on a wide variety of regulatory, legislative, and political issues, including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), menu labeling requirements, debit swipe fee reform, fuels, transportation, and more. Ms. Rigamonti works closely with clients to assist them in developing and executing legislative and regulatory strategies on these issues.
As a member of the GAPP practice, Ms. Rigamonti advocates on behalf of clients before the U.S. Congress, the White House, and numerous federal agencies, including the Department of Agriculture, Department of Labor, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Reserve, Federal Trade Commission, and the Food and Drug Administration, among others. She not only advocates on behalf of NACS but also on behalf of individual convenience and petroleum retailers.
Prior to joining Steptoe, Ms. Rigamonti was awarded a J.D. by Yale Law School where she participated in the Advocacy for Children and Youth Legal Clinic, the Greenhaven Prison Project, Yale Law Women (specifically their Top Ten Family Friendly Firm Committee), and Yale’s Legal Exchange Program in Argentina. Ms. Rigamonti also spent two years teaching 6th and 7th grade Special Education in the South Bronx as a Teach for America corps member.
