Foodservice sales in 2018 accounted for 22.6% of in-store sales, a category that continues to be a key focus area for the convenience channel. The importance of food safety in these categories cannot be emphasized enough as outbreaks affect not only out individual brands, but the industry as a whole. In this session, food safety experts will share and discuss the challenges they face when creating and implementing food safety programs in the unique c-store environment, before the session breaks into round table groups to discuss and offer collaborative solutions to relevant food safety challenges.
